Who makes Teso
Teso is made and published by Datahase. Questions about your data: hello@getteso.com.
Teso does not collect any data
Teso has no account, no server and no analytics. Nothing you log is sent to us or to anyone else. Teso does not connect to the internet.
What stays on your phone
Your plan, workouts, sets, body log, measurements, photos, settings and a short diagnostics log are stored only on this phone, inside Teso.
Health Connect and Apple Health
Only if you turn it on, Teso reads these so you don't have to type them, and to show your weigh-ins and other workouts:
- Weight
- Height
- Body fat percentage
- Sex (Apple Health only)
- Workouts from other apps
And writes these, so your other health apps see them:
- The workouts you finish, strength and cardio
- The weights you log
You can turn each one off in Teso or in the Health app at any time.
Photos and the camera
Progress and machine photos you take in Teso are kept inside Teso, not in your photo library. Teso asks for the camera only when you take one.
Backups and exports
A backup (a .teso file) or a CSV export is a file you make and keep where you choose. Teso never sends it anywhere by itself.
Your phone's own backup (iCloud or a computer backup on iPhone, Google backup on Android) includes Teso's data, as it does for other apps, except what Teso read from Apple Health or Health Connect that you haven't hidden or changed, such as weigh-ins from other apps. That stays on this phone, and on a new phone Teso reads it again from Health. A .teso backup includes everything. Teso does not use iCloud Drive or any cloud storage of its own.
Notifications
Rest timer, backup and photo reminders are scheduled on your phone. Nothing is pushed from a server.
No ads, no tracking
Teso shows no ads and does not track you across apps or websites.
Children
Teso is meant for adults and is not directed at children.
Deleting your data
Settings, then About, then Delete everything on this phone removes all of it. Uninstalling Teso does too. Data already written to Health Connect or Apple Health stays there; manage it in the Health app.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version ships with the app update and is posted here with its date.
